Introducing something entirely different, Steampunk Tower is one of those games where once you enter the title screen and the music starts to play, you know the experience is going to be epic. Filled with insane weapons and twists, this game is bringing a new level of mechanical nightmare and fury.

In this game you will need to protect Etherium mines from the Imperial Army. You are going to do that by building towers with weapons surrounding it and defend your towers from enemies. From a variety of different weapons, you can also equip machine guns, saw launchers, tesla blasters and more, and show those invaders who is the boss. While progressing through the story, you will be able to upgrade your weaponry and in order to do so, you will need to conduct researches.

By upgrading you can improve the strength of your weapons, firing rate and reload speed, with also some extra abilities being unlocked in the process. That way you can unleash the power of Etherium on your enemies and defeat them. Those hits will become electrical hits which will knock them from the sky making them an easier target. Make sure to be tactical with those hits and don’t take them for granted, since they are not always available and quite limited.

Enemies will come in different forms from soldiers to tanks and multi-legged walkers, to be prepared to defeat them all. Every unit has its own qualities and flaws, so the best approach is to learn each units’ strengths and weaknesses and which weapons can you use for each unit, and then take it from there- and that takes us to exactly the games’ challenge itself.

The game starts with easier levels, while naturally, later progresses to difficult ones where you will need to manage juggling more unites at once which can be quite challenging to maintain. Also, you will need to think about reloading and upgrading while on the go, so things can escalate pretty quickly and that is what Steampunk Tower is all about: being manic while trying to save precious resources from the Imperial Army.

Luckily, controls are quite basic and responsive, letting you switch your weapons quickly and not effecting the high pace of the game. While in between levels, upgrading is also allowed, so you can pick any enhancement from a tree system and make your weapons greater and more powerful.

The jazzy music fits perfectly with a steampunk theme of the game, however, all units are designed as silhouettes and therefore, lacking details. That is very unfortunate, since placing details would make a whole lot more sense and introduce some character to units. Steampunk Tower is very entertaining. Addictive so you will be hooked in no time once you start the game. In order to progress though the game, you will need to develop a certain strategic approach and plan ahead which can make things a lot more complex than when you start, but neither the less, really fun. So, if you are in a mood for some tower defense, Steampunk Tower should be on your list of game to download.
